Regulation of Lobbying Act of 1946
(Федеральный) закон о регулировании лоббистской деятельности 1946 года
Основной законодательный акт, регулирующий лоббистскую деятельность [lobbying]. В частности, требует, чтобы все лоббисты регистрировались в секретариатах Палаты представителей [House of Representatives] и Сената [Senate, U.S.], предоставления ими данных о своей деятельности, финансовой отчетности, местопребывании, целях, клиентах и т.п. Целью такой регистрации является обеспечение открытости финансовых источников лоббистов. Полученная информация ежеквартально публикуется в "Конгрэшнл рекорд" [Congressional Record]. Предусматривает наказания за неисполнение. Конституционность закона оспаривалась и была подтверждена Верховным судом США [Supreme Court, U.S.] в деле "США против Харрисса" [United States v. Harriss] (1954).
